Exponentia's Technology Allows Fans to Call it as They See it During Stanley Cup® Playoffs on TSN
Vancouver, British Columbia| April 6, 2003
The Stanley Cup® Playoffs are in full swing, and Exponentia and TSN are allowing fans to call the shots with the 'Call It As You See It' interactive poll. Exponentia and TSN.ca teamed up to provide hockey fans with an innovative way to voice their opinions and participate in the broadcasts of the Stanley Cup® Playoffs on TSN. During the telecasts, host James Duthie poses a hockey related question and invites viewers to vote for their desired answer by logging on to TSN.ca or by entering numbers on their cell phone. The 'Call It As You See It' live fan polls were created by TSN.ca and developed on Exponentia's proprietary Digital Media Pass to allow viewers to simultaneously get involved in the game using a variety of wireless and web-enabled devices. "By integrating live audience voting into TSN's Stanley Cup® Playoffs telecasts, TSN.ca continues to give fans the best possible experience during the game," said Mike Day, Executive Producer, TSN.ca. "Hockey fans are passionate about their teams, and we are now giving them the opportunity to participate live whether they are watching the game at home, at a friend's house, or at the local sports bar." "The power of Exponentia's Digital Media Pass platform is in its ease of use and user-centric design," said Andrew Gregory, VP Marketing, Exponentia. "The DMP allows non-technical users within the broadcast team to administer a variety of different interactive services, including polling across different web-enabled devices instantly that achieve compelling audience interactivity without burdening an already busy broadcast team." Exponentia, based in Vancouver, develops real-time communications and interactive solutions for the sports and entertainment market. The Digital Media Pass platform enables Exponentia's clients to Create, Publish and Monetize a suite of engaging Digital Services to TV-sized audiences.
