The World's Largest Piano Lesson™ Premieres - with interactive powered by Exponentia
New York, NY | June 1, 2005 | Gail Parenteau, Parenteau Guidance
It was announced today by the producers of The World's Largest Piano Lesson that Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center will be the chosen venue for The World's Largest Piano Lesson: Preparing for Solo Performance, a first-of-a-kind live classical music performance and lesson that crosses over onto the Internet. "When the curtain goes up on Sunday, October 9th, it will represent a breakthrough in unifying the worlds of classical music and the worldwide online community," said Deborah L. Esayian, Executive Producer of the event. Virtuoso pianist Richard Bosworth will headline Preparing for Solo Performance, a multi-media presentation comprising instruction and performance on several works including Chopin's Andante spianato in G & grande polonaise brillante in E flat, Op 22. Bosworth's live performance in New York City on the evening of October 9th will be filmed before a live audience. One week later, on October 16th, that performance will form the basis of an elegant, interactive Webimentary ™ of a live master class that uses internet streaming, MIDI technology and interactive Q&A to provide an exclusive and unique program to a worldwide audience of piano aficionados. Participants and concert goers will embark on an entertaining journey to study the life of a professional musical artist and the architecture, design and actual preparation of a solo recital. An audience of live and virtual ticket holders will learn about the composers and the musical messages in these works. They will gain a rare outstanding birds-eye view into the world of a concert performer. Those who wish to ensure their participation in this new adventure in classical music - the first interactive, multi-media piano lesson delivered right to the individual computer, should go to www.masterartists.com. Visitors to this website will be able to receive information about how to purchase a ticket for the October 9th event at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, to register to participate in the Internet Webimentary ™ on October 16th, to order the DVD, and for free access privileges to the Piano_Talk™ Online Community. |
